Introduction to cloud computing concepts
In this course we will get to know what is cloud computing and how this works. We will learn what is the difference between cloud based software and traditional software. We will learn the benefits of cloud computing and other fundamental concepts about cloud computing.
Get to know about AWS products
In this course we will learn about what services AWS provide and the use case of each of these services. It will help us understand the domain of AWS products and broaden our idea in this platform.
DynamoDB is the NoSQL database for AWS. We will learn in detail about this feature and it's advantages and disadvantages. We will learn how to plan and create DynamoDB tables. We will learn about indexing, global secondary index, and auto scaling. We will also learn how to code for DynamoDB tables. We will learn how we can setup trigger to raise Lamda execution.
Route53 is the DNS service of AWS. We will learn in detail with practical labs how we can park and manage DNS in Route53. We will learn about DNS configurations. We will see how we can connect with load balancers, cloudfront distributions from Route53. We will also see how we can create sub domains.
CloudFront is the content delivery network of AWS. It provides powerful features. We will see various configurations of CloudFront. We will setup this to connect with website. We will learn various critical aspects of this service through practical lab.
WAF & Shields
These are web firewalls. We can secure our website by applying various filtering in the traffic. We can apply WAF with Cloudfront to block DDOS Attack, SQL Injection, Script Injection etc. We will learn through lab how we can do this.
In AWS we can use CertificateManager to issue SSL certificate free of cost. It is a flexible feature that we can use to easily setup SSL certificate for our application. We will learn through lab how we can issue, verify and attach SSL certificate in our load balancer.
Beanstalk can be used to quickly setup an application on the fly with customization features available. We can avoid creating resources on our own and can rather allow Beanstalk to setup and configure them. We will learn through lab how we can do this for various platforms.
AWS provides powerful REST API creation service through API Gateway. We can easily setup a REST API and can connect it will Lamda or external services to produce a server less computation process. We will learn through hands-on lab how we can do this.
Lamda is a powerful feature of AWS. It provides serverless computation. We can build serverless architecture suing it. We can integrate it with other AWS services to build powerful system. We will see in lab how we can do this.
Glacier is data archiving service of AWS. We will see what types of data storage it can provide and how we can use it to store large amount of data with small amount of cost.
Amazon Redshift is a fast, scalable data warehouse that makes it simple and cost-effective to analyze all your data across your data warehouse and data lake. We will learn through lab how we can create and connect to Redshift and when this can be used.
CloudFormation is a powerful feature that you can use to automate provisioning of AWS resources. You can write CloudFormation template that you can run to create infrastructure instead of doing things manually. It can save lot of time and effort of instrumenting infrastructure. We will learn how to use this through detail lab.
